Chile

Continental Lensa based in Santiago Chile became the first licensed HD Radio broadcast equipment manufacturer outside North America. Continental Lensa plans to develop, manufacture and market HD Radio exciters for AM and FM broadcasters in Latin America.

With the dramatic adoption of HD Radio technology in Brazil, and interest from other neighboring countries, radio stations in conjunction with ARCHI (Association of Radio–Chile) plan a demonstration and trial of HD Radio technology in 2007.
