Day Sequerra Launches HD Radio™ Receiver for Customized Home Market

Las Vegas, NV — International Consumer Electronics Show — January 6, 2005 - Day Sequerra, a wholly owned subsidiary of ATI - Audio Technologies Inc., and iBiquity Digital Corporation, the sole developer of HD Radio™ technology, announced that Day Sequerra has licensed iBiquity's HD Radio technology for its home audio systems and has integrated the iBiquity technology into Day Sequerra's new HD Broadcast Reference tuner that debuts today at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show.

The Day Sequerra HD Broadcast Reference tuner has been designed to be the benchmark HD Radio receiver and is a modular design that, depending on configuration, can simultaneously receive and distribute up to 10 audio and video signal sources including HD Radio, HDTV and ATSC UHF/VHF TV, as well as legacy AM and FM. The modular architecture permits almost unlimited flexibility, for example, one HD Broadcast Reference could be configured to house 3 HD Radio modules and 5 HDTV modules, thereby functioning as a 5 zone video server providing HDTV and cable-ready TV for each zone as well as three independent channels of HD Radio AM or FM with near CD-quality and 5.1 surround sound (if transmitted) . Each source module has its own dedicated Class-A biased audio outputs. Its robust, modular architecture and optional USB / TCPIP connectivity ensures that the HD Broadcast Reference can be updated to keep pace with the growth in HD Radio capabilities and services.

"We're excited about the recent HD Radio, HDTV and satellite radio developments — this is truly a new age in broadcast," said David Day, Day Sequerra's president and founder. "We have worked closely with iBiquity to refine our receiver technology and begin to push the high performance envelope with HD Radio technology as Day Sequerra has done in the past with legacy analog radio."

"Day Sequerra's progressive systems are the ideal platform to experience the crystal-clear, CD-quality sound made possible with HD Radio technology," said Jeffrey Jury, chief operating officer, iBiquity Digital Corporation. "In 2005, HD Radio will be available in a broad range of markets from home desktop to auto aftermarket to high-end custom home units, as exemplified by Day Sequerra's offerings."

Across the country AM and FM radio stations are converting to digital HD Radio. 2,500 stations are in the fast lane upgrading to digital HD Radio technology to reach 95% of America 's population. HD Radio broadcasters can offer crystal-clear, CD-quality sound and data services via their existing AM/FM spectrum. In addition to dramatically improved sound quality, HD Radio technology offers on-demand information services, program related data and the ability to broadcast multiple programs over the same frequency. The HD Radio solution is the only digital broadcast system approved by the Federal Communications Commission for AM and FM radio in the United States.

Day Sequerra's new HD Radio Broadcast Monitor also debuts today at the 2005 International Consumer Electronics Show. The HD Radio Broadcast Monitor has been designed to meet the demands of the professional broadcast market and deliver high fidelity, accurate monitoring of HD Radio AM and FM digital broadcast signals, embedded HD Radio services, and legacy analog broadcasts. The Day Sequerra HD Radio Monitor is on display at iBiquity booth #4823 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
