The Sound of HD Radioâ„¢ Fills Las Vegas Convention Center
LAS VEGAS, NV, SEMA Show – October 30-November 3, 2006 – Expanded content and the crystal clear sound of AM and FM HD Radio will fill the two-million-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center October 30-November 3, 2006 from 14 different auto displays at the 2006 SEMA Show.
Live multicast (HD2) broadcasts from Digital FM radio stations in the Las Vegas area will be received by car audio systems, some installed in production vehicles, others in wild custom rides and still others in equipment demo displays, demonstrating the advantages of HD Radio broadcasting.
The HD Radio displays are:
- AAMP of America, booth 10760, Peripheral branded car connectivity unit (which adds HD Radio to a vehicle’s existing audio system)
- DICE, Wynn Hotel Suite: Car connectivity unit (which adds HD Radio to a vehicle’s existing audio system)
- Directed Electronics, booth 10708: FM modulation car connectivity
- DUB, outside South Hall of LVCC: variety of customized cars and SUVs featuring HD Radio systems
- Eclipse, booth 10330: Toyota Sequoia and Pontiac G6 Convertible equipped with Eclipse system
- Hahn Racecraft, booth 23254: Chevrolet Colorado equipped with Kenwood system
- House of Kolors, booth 23413: Chevrolet Cobalt equipped with a Kenwood System
- Hyundai, booth 24087: Sonata, Tiburon and Accent equipped with Kenwood HD Radio systems
- Katzkin Leather, booth 11322: Saturn Sky equipped with a Kenwood System - Kenwood, booth 10976: Kenwood systems
- Magic Touch, booth 11378: Chevrolet HHR equipped with JVC system
- Metra, booth 10530: Car connectivity unit being demonstrated live through Toyota, Honda, General Motors and Ford factory head units
- Stop Tech, booth 24733: Chevrolet Corvette equipped with Kenwood System
- Visteon, booth 11250: HD Jump™, new dockable mobile/home system
More than 1000 AM and FM stations across the country are broadcasting with Digital HD Radio technology, with 400 of them multicasting at least one additional HD Radio channel (HD2).
