NAB 2007: The Time is Now for HD Radio Broadcasting
New HD Radio Products To Be Seen and Heard Throughout the Show Floor
“HD Destination” (N6330) to Feature Displays of new HD Radio Products, Presentations from Industry Leaders and Innovative HD2 Programming from around the Country
Columbia, MD – April 12, 2007 – HD Radio™ technology heads into Las Vegas for the 2007 NAB Show enjoying a wave of momentum from several high profile announcements. In the past month alone:
- Wal-mart began carrying HD Radio product in nearly 2,000 stores in 85 markets.
- Hyundai announced that it will offer an HD Radio receiver option on its rear-wheel drive premium sports sedan scheduled for introduction in 2008.
- Jaguar said that it will offer an HD Radio receiver option on its 2008 luxury XJ sedan.
- The FCC formally authorized several key components of the HD Radio system, including items related to AM nighttime broadcasting, datacasting and FM multicasting.
There has never been a better time or opportunity for NAB attendees to explore the many aspects of HD Radio technology, and one of the best venues for doing so will be the “Radio & Audio Stage – An HD Destination.” Located in the North Hall #6330, the HD Destination stage will feature a variety of HD Radio receivers playing programming from some of the most innovative HD2 channels in the country. There will also be HD Radio presentations from several of the leading voices in the broadcast industry, in addition to daily giveaways of HD Radio receivers at noon.
